Yeah, finally getting this whole single thing.

I dream of being a dragon.

Last night I had an epic dream, it was one of those dreams you could feel, it seemed so real.

It started off in a small city surrounded by mountains and open plans. I had recently acquired the ability to change into a dragon and the dream opened with me running in a field as a human with children from the city and every now and then leaping and changing for a short time only to glide a short distance touch the ground and change back. I could change into a dragon but I couldn’t stay in the air for a short time (the dream was so real I could feel the wind I was heading into).

After returning to the city which looked to be a several towers together that reached high in the sky surrounded by a small group of houses and shops at the bottom I come to find a worried city. One of the people who was instructed to teach me the ways of the dragon (also a dragon himself) explained that a powerful creature was on the hunt for me, apparently I was never supposed to become a dragon. The dream continued with me watching the city scramble, some begging to leave (even the dragons didnt want to stay and fight).

The night of the creatures arrival I left the city. The area was surrounded by mountains and there was only one pass in. I could sense the creature heading into the pass. I started sprinting and in two hops I changed into a dragon and flapped my wings as hard as I could… and I stayed air born. I flew all the way to the cave and sensing the monster I went to engage him. I flew into the cave catching the creature by surprise. It was a tall lengthy creature with deep grey skin, its arms and legs where long with fierce claws on each. Its face was solid like a human with the only feature being a large green eye that seemed to be made of a green flame that set in the middle of its face. I caught the creature by surprise first flying over him then turning to see him gaze up at me. I caught him by the neck with my claws and with my teeth gripped his right arm. I pulled with all my might ripping the creature in two. He let out a horrific scream. I then flew the body back and left it within the city walls. I then turned to go tell the person in charge of training me what I have done. He looked horrified. He sprinted towards where I left the body. There was smoke rising from the city with people screaming. We rounded the corner to see the towering beast gazing towards us. My trainer said “The eye! RUN!” Without a second thought we sprinted from the city at full speed.

After escaping the city we made it to the outside world. It was a modern world like ours today. We laid low for awhile in what appeared to be St. Louis. I trained everyday trying to turn into a dragon, I wasn’t as successful as I was when I attacked the beast only gaining lift off for a moment before returning to earth as a human. Eventually a concert took place which both of us attending as humans. While there we noticed men coming after us, my teacher explained they where sent by the beast. We started to run every row I would run I would run up a car and jump off the top changing for a moment… before flying a row forward and changing back and repeating the process. My teacher eventually changed back and we ran as human, I couldn’t get the power to stay changed. We ran into the dark away from the concert. A thing couldn’t be seen but I suddenly felt like I could do unexplainable things, I felt an unexplainable force. I grabbed up pebbles from the parking lot as we ran and threw them screaming “LIGHT” as the pebbles flew they burst into little balls of light and lit the way for a short time before hitting the ground and extinguishing. My teacher looked in surprise and smiled, he then put his lips together and blew and as his breath left him the area in front of us lit like a powerful flashlight. He said give it a second the dragon within you is finally coming forth. As we ran I could suddenly see in the dark, as if the whole area was lit with a small green glow. Our pace increased as we raced through the woods at a speed beyond the capabilities of a human. I felt powerful as I ran like a dragon wanting to escape, as we exited the tree line we saw humans walking to the concert on a road. When we reached them I screamed “RUN!” but it came out deeper than my voice, with the power of a roar behind it. Both of us then changed and lifted off, the humans scattered and my dream ended.

There was more to the dream where I encountered others of our kind as well as lived for a short time before the concert training to change into a dragon and learning more about why we exist but it would take me forever to tell the story if I included it. I love dreaming so much, I hate waking up.
